Radial glass thermistor is famous as a thermistor which can resist high temperature and high moisture, so it's widely used in terrible or harsh environment for temperature measurement, detection and controlling.

 

However, regular radial glass thermistor is with non-insulated leads. It limits some environment which requires insulated leads. What's worse, the bare glass bead may be easily got damaged when it meets compression, shock, etc.

 

There is a new type of radial glass thermistor developed by Exsense R & D team. This thermistor is treated by Polyimide on both glass bead and leads surface. Thermistor treated by such technic can be with better insulation, anti-compression/anti-abrasion, anti-shock, high temperature resistance and anti-voltage. It’s reliable thermistor with good mechanical capability.
